Perspectives on Aid Effectiveness in Bangladesh

Bangladesh receives hundreds of millions of dollars a year in foreign economic aid, but much of it is invalid because of issues such as poor project management. This video presents the question of "outside help is really needed?" and takes a casual look in the current framework of development aid in Bangladesh - its problems and contradictions - through the eyes of four experts: Mr. Saiful Huq, General Secretary of the Workers Party of Bangladesh, Dr. Anu Muhammad, professor of the economyJahangirnagar University, Dr. Karim Piash, Professor of Sociology at the University of BRAC, and Ahmed Swapan Mahmud, executive director of VOICE Bangladesh. This film was created during an internship with alternatives. In Bengali with English subtitles. Manufactured by VOICE (Voices for interactive selection and Empowerment) Bangladesh - www.voicebd.org
